Medad Technology has used sonochemistry to create an innovative and compact new ultrasound nebulizer that improves medicine delivery systems and creates a safer alternative for recreational delivery mechanisms.
Medad Technology has developed a miniaturized hand-held nebulizer with a suite of companion integrated chips capable of operating ultrasound transducers at high frequencies with feedback control algorithms. Working on the principles of piezoelectric effect and ultrasound cavitation, the nebulizer enables the aerosolization of dense and viscous solutions, creating a fine mist.
The inhalation technology is the first innovation that Medad Technology started with 4 years ago. To date, Medad Technology has invested US$50 million in R&D, in-house manufacturing, product testing, consumer research, and securing regulatory approval of its ultrasound technology in the UAE and international markets.
We plan to spend another US$100 million on smoking cessation research and potential applications in therapeutics over the next three years, as well as technology development in other industries.
In addition to its ultrasound technology, Medad Technology has invested in Boom Health, a mobile application for senior home care services. Boom Health is an innovative app helping Canadians take control of their senior care.

Therapeutics
Medad Technology’s Nebulizer works on the principles of piezoelectric effect and ultrasound cavitation. Through a patented algorithm designed to optimize the cavitation bubble, we can restrict the size of particles created to 1-3 µm. This allows for narrow particle distribution in the propagation of the mist, ensuring an extremely potent solution delivery to users, directly to the alveoli, delivered from the compact, pocket-sized device. The product will undergo clinical trials soon.
Safe Recreation
Medad Technology has solved the longstanding challenge of removing the need for heat during delivery of inhaled recreational liquids, creating a safer, more efficient, and advanced solution for users. The new mechanism maximizes the benefit-to-risk ratio by eliminating harmful emissions.
Smoking Cessation
The ultimate aim of Medad Technology is not only to reduce the harm caused by smoking or vaping, but to help people rid themselves of smoking completely. Our research into smoking cessation is developing new ways of controlling nicotine intake through precise delivery measurement. We are developing partnerships with experts researching how to assist in the mental and physical support needed to quit smoking.
